STUDY ON TRIP GENERATION FORECASTING MODELS

Based on the mechanism of personal trip decision-making behaviour, a new trip generation forecasting model is presented through the definition of socioeconomic potentiality around a traffic zone. The model considers the influence degree of the socioeconomic development level, road network service level of the traffic zone and the socioeconomic development level around the traffic zone on trip generation. The model is used to analyze residents' trip generation in Guilin city of China, and the result shows that the model has good accuracy and performance.
