CORROSION ANALYSIS IN TRANSMISSION TOWER FOUNDATIONS

2021
The quality of concrete depends on the durability of the environment-affected concrete, the coating of the embedded steel, the type and quality of the cement constituents, the water-cement ratio, and the water permeability of the concrete. Being permeable, aggressive ions in the form of liquids and gases can enter the concrete and affect the steel in the concrete. Proper placement of fly ash concrete after placement and hardening will significantly improve concrete durability and protect embedded rebar. Cast the sample using 5%, 10%, 15%, 20% fly ash instead of cement. Strength and durability are investigated by testing the sample using standard methods. A sample consisting of a corner embedded in a concrete cylinder was tested to stimulate corrosion of the tower legs of the transmission line tower foundation. Based on experimental studies, some important conclusions are drawn.
