The Micro-Courses for Mobile Learning-Based Wireless Network

Mobile learning (m-learning) is a natural extension of e-learning that utilizes technology to assist teaching and learning. This paper analyzes the definition and characteristics of mobile learning and the key technology that contains mobile communication technology, embedded system development, wireless network technology and location detection technology. The terminal instruments of mobile learning make learning more easy and flexible. The paper also proposes the designing principles of mobile learning courses: (1) Learning situation is very important for mobile learning; (2) Learning object is flexible; (3) mobile educational game applications. Altogether, mobile devices used in education and teaching is the supplement and auxiliary, and its fundamental purpose is to improve learning.
