A Modern Base Map and 3D City Model Production - A Case Study “City of Sarajevo”

In 2018 the Institute for planning of Canton Sarajevo and Federal Administration for Geodetic and Property-Legal Affairs (FGA) realised the project “The Base Map Revision in the scale 1:5000”. The project requires updating the existing topographic bases at a scale of 1:5000, as well as creating a 3D City model for the urban area of Sarajevo Canton based on new photogrammetric images, i.e., digital orthophoto (DOF). One of the main purposes of the project was to provide the basis for urban policy decision making for the city of Sarajevo. The project has been realized in accordance with the Topographic Data Model of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
