The infrared repeater comprises a power supply module, a wireless communication module and an infrared modulation transmitting module, wherein the wireless communication module and the infrared modulation transmitting module are connected with the power supply module; the power supply module is used for converted received NFC signals into electric energy through coils and supplying power for the wireless communication module and the infrared modulation transmitting module; the wireless communication module is used for receiving the NFC signals and analyzing obtained control signals; the infrared modulation transmitting module is used for convenient the control signals into infrared signals and transmitting the infrared signals. The infrared repeater has the advantages that when equipment with an NFC function approaches the infrared repeater and transmits the control signals, the control signals can be converted into the infrared signals through the infrared repeater to control terminal equipment, the control signals can provide necessary power supply conditions to the infrared repeater to allow the infrared repeater to be available without setting a power supply, production cost is saved, the size of the infrared repeater can be reduced, and the infrared repeater can be convenient to carry and use.
