A 2D Co(II) Coordination Polymer With CdI2 Topology Based on Trinuclear Co(II) Clusters as Nodes

2013
A new coordination polymer, [Co1.5(tci)(DMA)]·DMA (1) (H3tci = tris(2-carboxyethyl)isocyanurate), has been synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, IR, TG and single-crystal X-ray diffraction. The X-ray diffraction analysis reveals that 1 (C40H60Co3N10O22) crystallizes in the monoclinic, space group P21/n. In 1, the trinuclear Co(II) entity, which is further linked to six adjacent trinuclear Co(II) entities via six individual tci ligands to form an interesting 2D CdI2 topological layer structure.
