Ozonator and process for their manufacture.

DESCRIBED an ozonizer (10) with a first metal electrode (14) and a second metal electrode (20), between which there is space for discharge (18), IN WHICH ON FIRST electrode (14) is arranged DIELECTRIC (16). At least the first electrode (14) is provided as a coating of aluminum or an aluminum alloy on a support glass. The dielectric (16) consists of a ceramic layer thermally sprayed, PREFERABLY TO OXIDE {} -aluminum, titanium oxide or hafnium oxide. ALSO DESCRIBED PROCESS FOR PRODUCING an ozonator, whichever CERAMIC LAYER is disposed on the first electrode (14) and serving as a dielectric (16), is applied by thermal spraying. Preferably both electrodes (14, 20) are produced also by thermal spraying. The ozonator is characterized by a REMARKABLE PERFORMANCE, be resistant to corrosion and be easy and inexpensive to manufacture.
