Study on Rural Labors' Terrain Choice and Its Centralizing Effect in Their Migration to Take up an Occupation——Based on Survey of Ten Villages in Henan Province

2009
The computation analysis results suggest that:rural labors participate in division of labor initiatively by migration to take up an occupation;they prefer to migrate to outer provinces than to inner provinces. However, rural labors distributing in outer provinces are unevenly distributed, mainly concentrated in developed areas;rural labors migrated to inner provinces are mainly concentrated in region from outer county to inner city where they live, with the migrating distance increasing, the factors, such as rural labors' sex, marriage, age, degree of education, social connection, plow land per labor managed, area condition and their participation in division of labor, exert a decreasing effect on influencing their migration to take up an occupation. In the meanwhile, rural labors' migration causes centralizing effect markedly, also increasas their income from service, yet their self-organized mode hardly change over the quandary of low employment level and marginal status to city where their migrate to take up an occupation.
