Scoping Review: Efektivitas Sediaan Bawang Putih (Allium sativum) sebagai Larvasida Nyamuk

ABSTRA CT : Mosquitoes are vectors that transmit several types of dangerous diseases to humans such as dengue fever, malaria, elephantiasis, chikungunya, and so on. The use of chemicals as a sustainable mosquito control in the community can also have negative impacts such as environmental pollution, resurgence, resistance and tolerance to pesticides. It is necessary to study the alternative larvicides made from natural ingredients that are safe for public use, such as the use of garlic. Garlic contains compounds such as aliixin, saponins, and flavonoids which are compounds commonly used as a mixture of insecticides or larvacides. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of garlic (Allium sativum) as a mosquito larvicide. This study was a scoping review of articles related to the research on the effectiveness of garlic (Allium sativum) as a mosquito larvicide. Sources of international and national databases used are PubMed, Science Direct, Google Scholar, Garuda and Neliti. The overall results of the search for articles obtained a total of 487 articles and those used as samples in this study were 8 articles because they met the inclusion criteria, exclusion criteria and met the eligibility criteria based on PICOS, namely, Population: III / IV instar Mosquito larvae / larvae, Intervention: Garlic preparation (Allium sativum), Comparison: Abate (Temephos) administration, Outcome: Mosquito larvae mortality, Study: In vitro experimental. The results show that Allium sativum (in various preparations) is effective for use as a mosquito larvicide (Aedes aegypti, An. Stephensi, Anopheles subpictus, Cx. Quinquefasciatus, Cx. Pipiens, Cx. Restuans.) The conclusion of this scoping review is the preparation of garlic (Alium sativum ) effectively used as a mosquito larvicide.                          ABSTRAK: Nyamuk merupakan vektor penular beberapa jenis penyakit berbahaya bagi manusia seperti demam berdarah, malaria, kaki gajah, chikungunya, dan lain sebagainya. Penggunaan bahan kimia sebagai pengendalian nyamuk secara berkelanjutan di masyarakat pula dapat menimbulkan dampak negatif seperti polusi lingkungan, resurgen, resistan maupun toleran terhadap pestisida. Perlu dikaji mengenai larvasida alternatif berbahan alami yang aman digunakan masyarakat seperti penggunaan bawang putih. Bawang putih mengandung senyawa seperti aliixin, saponin, dan flavonoid yang merupakan senyawa yang biasa difungsikan sebagai campuran insektisida ataupun larvasida. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui efektivitas sediaan bawang putih ( Allium sativum ) sebagai larvasida nyamuk. Penelitian ini berupa scoping review dari artikel yang berkaitan dengan penelitian efektivitas sediaan bawang putih ( Allium sativum ) sebagai larvasida nyamuk. Sumber database internasional dan nasional yang digunakan yaitu PubMed , Science Direct , Google Scholar, Garuda dan Neliti. Hasil keseluruhan pencarian artikel didapatkan sejumlah 487 artikel dan yang dijadikan sebagai sampel dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 8 artikel karena memenuhi kriteria inklusi, kriteria eksklusi serta memenuhi kriteria kelayakan ( eligible ) berdasarkan PICOS yaitu, Population : Larva/Jentik Nyamuk instar III/IV, Intervention : Sediaan bawang putih ( Allium sativum ), Comparison : pemberian Abate ( Temephos) , Outcome :  Kematian larva nyamuk, Study : Eksperimental in vitro . Hasil menunjukan Allium sativum (dalam berbagai sediaan) efektif  digunakan sebagai larvasida nyamuk ( Aedes aegypti, An. stephensi, Anopheles subpictus, Cx. quinquefasciatus, Cx. Pipiens, Cx. restuans.) Simpulan dari scoping review ini yaitu sediaan bawang putih (Alium sativum) efektif digunakan sebagai larvasida nyamuk.
