Kinetics of deposit precursors in jet fuels : Structure of jet fuels V

1998
With advances in jet engine technology and the quest to reach higher mach numbers, fuel stability is expected to play a significant role in the thermal management of modern aircraft. As system temperatures increase, the fuel autoxidation process that forms peroxides, soluble gums and deposits will be greatly accelerated. Fuels will be exposed to higher temperatures for longer periods of time because there will be an increased demand on the cooling capacity of the fuel.
