Problemática asociada a la delimitación y cartografía de los lugares de interés geológico de la comunidad autónoma del País Vasco

The Geodiversity Strategy of the Basque Autonomous Community included a preliminary mapping of identified geozones included in the geosite inventory. The necessity of individual geosite mapping has evidenced the difficulties when delimiting each type of element. For the new geosite mapping these have been analyzed by their geological interest, following the grouping suggested in the inventory. Each grouping of geosites by disciplines shows difficulties for assessing a common mapping methodology, due to their typology or to their variability. The analysis of this difficulties will result in the establishment of a new methodology for geosite mapping, that will be included into geoEuskadi, the Spatial Data Infrastructure of the Basque Government.
