On synthetic aperture radar simulations using WIPL-D Pro

2018
In this paper a design of a generic simulation environment for Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) applications based on WIPL-D Pro solver, is presented. We discuss the measurement scenario, simulation requirements and the computing complexity in terms of time consumption and hardware resources. An example of a generation of a SAR image of a fighter aircraft, based on its full-wave monostatic RCS simulations in a frequency range between 2 GHz and 3 GHz, is presented.
