Facile and regioselective synthesis of new fluorinated [1,2,4]-triazolo[4,3-a]pyrimidin-7(1H)-one derivatives from fluorinated alkynes

Abstract A mild, simple and efficient method for the regioselective synthesis of 3-substituted-1-phenyl[1,2,4]-triazolo[4,3-a]pyrimidin-7(1H)-ones bearing a perfluoroalkyl group on position 5 is reported herein. The synthetic route involved a one-pot two-step Michael addition/heterocyclization reaction with 2-aminotriazoles and fluorinated alkynes as starting materials.
