Daurade Sparus aurata L. reproduite artificiellement et daurade sauvage. Expériences paralleles en diverses conditions d'élevage
1988
Abstract A comparison between gilthead seabream ( Sparus aurata ) obtained by artificial reproduction and wild ones is reported for extensive, semi-intensive and intensive rearing conditions. Growth, survival, food conversion factor and production were similar for both populations. A considerable percentage (19–48%) of deformed individuals was found in the artificial fish population. The condition factor of these fish was not suitable for investigating their “well-being”. If population type is discarded, significant growth differences are related more to the three culture systems than to artificial or wild populations.
