Analysis of Factors Affecting the Distribution of Farm Lands in Iran: A Case Study of Ardabil Province

The main objective of this paper is to analyze the factors, affecting the distribution of arable land from the Ardabil Province farmers’ points of view. The population under study consisted of all farmers in Ardabil Province of which 196 persons were selected by multistage random sampling. Sample size was determined based on the Cochran’s formula and the required data were gathered through questionnaires. The content validity of the questionnaire was established by professors and experts and its reliability was determined based on Cronbach's alpha (0.87). For data analysis, SPSS software was used. Based on factor analysis of the factors affecting the distribution of agricultural lands were classified in the four physical, socio - cultural, economic and physical factors. Thus the 80.39% of the total variance explained and ultimately practical suggestions based on the findings of the research were presented.
