Influence of different avian red blood cells on detection of HI antibody against avian influenza

The influence of non-special haemagglutinin upon HI test of different avian sera was investigated by different treatment of the sera and serial experiments. The results showed that non-special hae- magglutinin disappeared, when the different avian sera was treated by receptor-destroyed enzyme(RDE) or chicken red blood cells, but the RDE was too expensive and the treatment of chicken red blood cells was time-consuming.
