Radiative lifetimes for some 5p levels of Kr

Abstract Using a Kr + ion beam from a small positive-ion accelerator, we have measured the radiative lifetimes of six 5p levels of Kr + by means of the time-of-flight technique. These levels along with their measured lifetimes and estimated uncertainties in nanoseconds are: 5 p 4 P 5 2 , 7.7 ± 0.6; 5 p 4 D 3 2 , 7.96 ± 0.37; 5 p 4 D 5 2 , 9.48 ± 0.50 ; The uncertainties are sums of the computed statistical errors and estimated maximum systematic errors in beam velocity and position.
