Report presents results of joint experimental study of effects of bed rest conducted at Ames Research Center in California and Institute for Biomedical Problems in Moscow. Study conducted under identical conditions at both locations. In addition to generating useful scientific data, provided basis for comparison of physiological reactions and standardization of procedures and methods.
