Importanţa îngrijirilor paliative în oncologia medicală – utilizarea scalei IPOS

This article briefly presents the arguments that determine the need to integrate medical oncology with palliative care, emphasizing the need for this integration from the moment of cancer diagnosis. Secondly, the IPOS scale (Integrative Palliative care Outcome Scale) is presented, which is an important tool in clinical practice as well as in research. After the presentation of the main items of the scale, a short review of the literature related to this scale is made.
