A method of transporting stacks of bags or semifinished bag from a first machine to a second machine and system that includes a first machine and a transport and storage device

Disclosed and claimed is a method and a system for producing bags (65) in which stacks (27, 69) of bags (65) or bag semifinished products (23, 25) from a first machine (20, 50, 70) to a second machine (20, 50, 70) to be transported, - wherein said stack (27, 69) of bags (65) or bag semifinished products (23, 25) over a plurality of bands (106, 107, 108, 110) are guided that a storage and transport device (28, 66) associated with are, - and in which a part of the bands (106, 107, 108, 110) of said storage and transport device (28, 66) as a collecting or discharge belts (106, 107, 108, 110) for successively collecting or for successively delivering stacks (27, 69) is used by the respective bands (106, 107, 108, 110) are moved intermittently by sections which are adapted to the extent of individual stacks (27, 66) in the conveying direction (z) to the collecting or is filled or emptied discharge conveyor (106, 107, 108, 110).
