A short review about the agricultural crops water requirement's in Cuba since its beginning in the late 60´s is made; also, a group of basic studies constituting a base line for the continuity a future research program in this subject are emphasizing. Finally, it is discussing the need to continue with a new focus the studies of crops water requirements in the country.
