Multi-objective transmission network planning based on multi-objective optimization algorithms

2017
This paper applies multi-objective optimization algorithms to deal with transmission network planning considering electricity market environment with ‘pool + bilateral trading’ mode and overload risk. In planning model of transmission network, transmission congestion management and overload risk management are considered as optimizing objectives to satisfy the demands of power loads as well as balance the benefits of all participants in power market. For solving the established transmission network planning model, the Pareto optimal solution of multi-objective function is adopted in this paper. Through testing the actual 18-node transmission system based on NSGA-II and MOEA/D algorithms, the results show that the optimal transmission network planning scheme can be obtained, and verify the correctness of the transmission network planning model in power market and the validity of multi-objective optimization algorithms.
