ยีนความหอมและลักษณะพื้นฐานทางอณูพันธุศาสตร์ของข้าวหอม Fragrance Gene and Molecular Basis of Fragrant Rice

2013
Fragrance in rice is considered one of the most important grain quality traits, as it is a key factor in determining market price. Aromatic rice is classified as high quality rice and its demand is not only increasing in the national markets but is also widely recognized in all over the world. With the availability of molecular maps and genome sequences, a major gene for fragrance (badh2) was identified on chromosome 8. An 8-bp deletion in the exon 7 of this gene was reported to result in truncation of betaine aldehyde dehydrogenease enzyme whose loss-of-function lead to the accumulation
