Psiquiatria Dinámica. Historia y situación actual.

2002
The author defines dynamic psychiatry in accordance with the following parameters: Dynamic psychiatry not only refers to the ill parts of the personality, but also to the sane parts, making them apt for treatment. The Human Being is considered a biological, psychological and social being. Ego structures develop as a group. These ego structures are determined according to their constructive and destructive parts. Dynamic psychiatry tones down the nosological terminology of classical psychiatry, which on occasions has been excessively stigmatizing. Dynamic psychiatry relates pathological process with social occurrence, but without excluding the somatic factor. The main sources of dynamic psychiatry are psychoanalysis, classical psychiatry and group dynamics. The common denominator of dynamic psychiatry, social psychiatry and antipsychiatry is its humanistic basis. Teaching of dynamic psychiatry as well as prophylaxis of mental disorders is possible, above all though self-experience groups and Balint groups.
