Methodology to Predict Unknown Protein Structure. GPN Protein Family a Case of Study

In this paper a methodology is proposed to find the structural conformation of unknown proteins. As a case of study, the GPN-Loop GTPase (GPN) protein family was used. The sequence of the GPN proteins was obtained from the Universal Protein Resource data bank. After that the obtained sequence was introduced in the protein structure prediction system (version 3) to obtain the possible structure of these proteins under analysis. Python Molecular Software was used to model the structure of the proteins and identify their possible 3D conformation. Finally, with visualization and analysis tool for biological interaction data software show the interaction between the found proteins like an attempt to confirm the structural information proposed.
