Techno-economic analysis of reactive load reduction in transmission and distribution networks in Serbia using medium voltage level compensation

In this paper the efficiency analysis of reactive load reduction in transmission and distribution networks in Serbia in total amount of 30 Mvar is discussed. The reduction is realized by the compensation at the medium voltage level in selected substations 35/X kV. The principles of optimal location and level of compensation selection in order to satisfy the technical constraints are analyzed in detail.
