Study of saturation effect and output power of optically pumped FIR lasers

In this paper, the saturation effect, output power and the optimum operating pressure of optically pumped FIR lasers were studied theoretically. The density matrix equation of six-level system has been solved, in case the FIR wave signals in the system were not small enough to be neglected.
