Single-slot Type Electrical Excitation Flux-switching Motor and Its Maximum Torque/copper Loss Control

A novel single-slot type electrical excitation flux-switching motor (EFSM) was proposed to overcome the disadvantages of small magnetic load and complex assembly process caused by the difference between the excitation and armature slots. The working principle of the single-slot type EFSM was analyzed by finite element method. Furthermore, the maximum torque/copper loss (MTPC) of the single-slot type EFSM was proposed based on id=0 vector control strategy. At last, a single-slot type EFSM prototype was developed. The working principle and MTPC control strategy of the single-slot type EFSM were verified well by experiments.
