Resistance identification of rice cultivars to southern rice black-streaked dwarf disease in Guangxi.

2014
【Objective】The resistance of rice cultivars for production to southern rice black-streaked dwarf disease(SRBSDD) in Guangxi was evaluated to provide references for integrated control of SRBSDD. 【Method】 Mass inoculation was used for rice resistance evaluation to SRBSDD in this research. The tested rice cultivars included 45 main rice cultivars and 53 native rice cultivars in market of Guangxi. 【Result】Among the studied 98 cultivars, 96 cultivars were highly susceptible to SRBSDD, accounting for 97.96%. Two cultivars were moderately susceptible, accounting for 2.04%. No resistant rice cultivar was found in the trial. 【Conclusion】Main rice cultivars for production in Guangxi were susceptible to SRBSDD. Hence, integrated control of SRBSDD and the screening of rice germplasm for resistance should be strengthened in the future.
