Illinois statewide electric utility plan. Volume 3. Appendix-methodology

Under the Illinois Public Utilities Act, the Department is required to prepare a biennial electric utility energy plan for the state. The plan, prepared in three volumes, assesses electricity demand and supply for three futures over the period 1989 - 2010. In addition, assessments of conservation, cogeneration, power purchases, and plant life extension are presented. Finally, the plan examines four key 'boundary issues': deregulation, utility bypass, corporate and financial restructuring, and acid-rain legislation implementation. Volume I summarizes the plan's findings, Volume II contains the plan's analysis and recommendations, and Volume III contains a discussion of the models and methods used to prepare the plan.
