Reactions with inclusive production of two neutral kaons in K/sup +/p interactions at 32 GeV/c

We report experimental data obtained with the Mirabelle bubble chamber on inclusive production of two neutral kaons in the reaction K/sup +/p ..-->.. (K/sup n/K/sup n/)X at 32 GeV/c. The contribution of the K*/sup + -/(890) resonances to this reaction is discussed, and the effective-mass spectra of K/sup 0//sub S/K/sup 0//sub S/, K/sup 0//sub S/K/sup 0//sub S/..pi../sup + -/, and K/sup 0//sub S/K/sup 0//sub S/..pi../sup +/..pi../sup -/ are considered. It is shown that the Lund quark-fragmentation model describes the experimental data well. The singularity in the K/sup 0//sub S/K/sup 0//sub S/..pi../sup +/..pi../sup -/ effective-mass spectrum at approx.2.0 GeV is discussed.
