Process for managing an internal combustion engine

2004
A method of operating an internal combustion engine (100) wherein a shaft position is determined (1) of the internal combustion engine (100) using a sensor (120) and calibrates the signal supplied by the sensor (120). a first phase relationship is determined between a preferential position of the shaft (1) and a signal characterizing the evolution of the combustion in the internal combustion engine (100), a second phase relationship is determined between a position signal sensor (120) that the preferred position of the shaft (1) and the signal characterizing the evolution of the combustion, and correcting the position of the shaft (1) provided by the sensor (120) according to the comparison, in particular the difference between the first phase relation and said second phase relation.
