Helicobacter Pylori Infection and Correlation to Related Disease in Children

2009
Objective To investigate the state of Helicobacter pylori infection and correlation to related disease in children. Methods The enzyme linked immunosorbent assay(ELASA)method was used to measure the serum levels of H.pylori-IgG antibody,Gastroscopy were used in 50 cases with digestive tract symptom.Three pieces of mucous membrane were obtained from anterior wall and posterior wall of sinus ventriculi respectively.Pathohistology, urea enzyme test and reforming Giemsa staining were used to find Helicobacter pylori. Results ① The positive rate of serum levels of H.pylori-IgG antibody in 108 cases was 52.7%(57/108),31.0% without digestive tract symptom and 78.0% with digestive tract symptom which indicating significant difference.② The positive rate of H.pylori-IgG antibody in 3~7 age,8~11 age,12 age were 17.8%,36.8%,48.5% respectively.③42 cases have superficial gastritis in 50 cases with digestive tract symptom,H.pylori infection rate was 76.0%,2 gastric ulcer cases and 6 duodenal ulcer cases were sufferering H.pylori.④Gastric mucous membrane inflammation degree, neutrophilic granulocyte level, eosinophile granulocyte level and folliculus lymphaticus proportion of those Helicobacter pylori positive infection cases were significantly higher than those in Helicobacter pylori nagetive infection cases. Conclusion Helicobacter pylori infection was common in our territory, the Helicobacter pylori infection rate was closely related to age,the incidence of gastric and duodenal diseases, especially to gastric ulcer cases and duodenal ulcer cases, was closely related to Helicobacter pylori infection.Gastric mucous membrane show different pathohistology changes after Helicobacter pylori infection in children.
