Description of the Process Needed To Achieve EPN Roadmap

Abstract This chapter’s objective is to provide a formal process for the augmentation of existing neighborhoods to Energy Positive Neighborhoods (EPNs). A process that considers all major aspects of domain technology, what is termed Operational Technology (OT), and Information Technology (IT) or Information Communication Technology (ICT) involved in energy management at multiple levels. The chapter however, goes beyond a technology focus and describes the overall process from business model selection to appropriate assessment methodology selection. The process is based on the SUDA framework posited as a generic framework for defining a problem/opportunity, for selecting a proposed improvement and for testing the outcomes.
