Desde entonces el dialogo ha estado marcado por una actividad diplomaticarespaldada por el reconocimiento a las nacientes republicas y por las luchas en forosmultilaterales por la plena independencia de este continente. Es bajo esta dinamica que nuestropais establece vinculos con la Republica Federal de Nigeria en 1965, manteniendo un nivel derelaciones permanente desde este momento hasta nuestros dias, el cual intentaremos analizar ensu devenir historico. EnglishRelations between Venezuela and Africa were established in 1950, when ties were forged withEgypt and Ethiopia. Ever since, a diplomatic activity based on the recognition of the newrepublics and the struggles in multilateral forums in demand of the full independence of thiscontinent has underlied dialogue. It was as part of this dynamics that in 1965 our countryestablished links with the Federal Republic of Nigeria, maintaining ongoing relations eversince—the historical development of which this paper attempts to analyze.
