Interrelationship between children with tic disorder and nurturing style and environment of their family

Objective To explore the effect of foster model and family environment on young patients with tic disorder. Method Sixty patients with tic disorder according to the criteria of the CCMD-3 were evaluated with FES-CV and compared with 60 healthy children.Result The foster model of patients was apt to high-punishment, strict, high-refuse,deny and over interference.The scores of sub-scale including familiarity, emotion expression and amusement were lower than that of healthy children, while the scores of conflict and control were higher. The difference was significant.Conclusion Inappropriate foster model and family's environment had severe effect on the occurrence of tic disorder.
