PENGARUH PENYULUHAN TERHADAP KEINGINAN MENGIKUTI PROGRAM KB PADA IBU HAMIL DI PUSKESMAS BAMBANGLIPURO

High rate of population growth is considered as a problem in Indonesia. On the last population survey held in 2012, Indonesia has TFR of 2.6, which means that on average Indonesian women are giving birth 2-3 times in their lifetime. There are many factors affecting family planning program to be successful. Health education hava a big impact on knowledge factor to help people choose the right contraception method. This study objective is to examine the effect of health education to willingness to join the family planning program on pregnant women at Bambanglipuro Public Health Centre. This study used one group pretest-posttest design with accidental sampling technique involving 32 respondents. Before health education was given, there are 20 respondents (62.5%) unwilling to join and 12 respondents (37.5%) willing to join the family planning program. After health education was given, there are 7 respondents (21.9%) unwilling to join and 25 respondents (78.1%) willing to join the family planning program. There is significant increase of respondents willing to join the family planning program after the health education.Keywords: health education, family planning, contraception
