The Speech-Language Pathologist in the Schools: Changing Roles

The role of the speech-language pathologist in the schools is changing in response to myriad developments within and outside the discipline of speech-language pathology. Collaborative service delivery models are replacing traditional "pull-out" approaches in many schools. In this article, the authors identify challenges that have reshaped the role of the school speech-language pathologist and use a case example to illustrate how speech-language services can be implemented within a collaborative framework.
