Genetic Control of Chlorophyll Biosynthesis and Formation of its Forms in vivo

At present we seem to have a clear view of the pathways for the biosynthesis of chlorophylls and other plastid pigments (GODNEV 1963; GOODWIN 1965; SMIT 1965; SHLYK 1965, 1971; GRANICK 1967; SHLYK et al. 1972, 1975). It has been stated that light-induced synthesis of chlorophylls runs simultaneously with the formation of chloroplast lamellar structure.
