A2_3 Observational evidence to support the existence of BLR in AGN

2009
Observational results of the integrated broad line flux, F L , against ionising continuum flux, F C , in AGN often show a tendency for F L to plateau at significantly high values of F C . We present a quantitative theory to explain this behaviour as evidence for the existence of a Broad Line Region in Active Galactic Nuclei.
