Performance analysis of hybrid PCM by doping Graphene

Abstract In this experimental study, we demonstrated the consequence on the charging and discharging time of energy of PCM dopped with Graphene used with water as HTF under varying concentration from 0.25 to 1.5% having interval of 0.25% as well as varying inlet HTF temperature from 60 to 85 °C having interval of 5 °C. Based on the experimental results, it has been found that due to increment in thermal conductivity, the reduction rate of charging time is enhanced up to 40.65% as variation in inlet HTF temperature when using nanofluid as an HTF. In the performance parameters like charging efficiency improved by 17%, overall efficiency improved by 12%, and exergy efficiency improved by 8% are recorded.
