The Pollution Status and Research Progress on Organophosphate Ester Flame Retardants

With the gradual ban of brominated flame retardants, the application of organophosphate esters (OPEs) as flame retardants in various products has greatly increased in recent years. As a class of emerging pollutants, the environmental problems caused by the OPEs are more and more concerned. This article reviews the current applications, pollution status, toxicity and analysis methods of OPEs, with the hope of providing references for the studying of OPEs in China.
