An inorganic-organic hybrid solid with B5O7(OH)3 clusters bridged and decorated by zinc–amine complexes
2018
Abstract A new inorganic-organic hybrid solid, namely, Zn 2 (dmen) 3 B 10 O 14 (OH) 6 (dmen = N , N ′-dimethylethylenediamine) was prepared under solvothermal conditions. This compound has a molecular structure with B 5 O 7 (OH) 3 clusters bridged and decorated by zinc–amine complexes. It is a direct-gap material with a band gap of 5.21 eV. The band structure and density of states of the compound were also calculated based on density functional theory.
