Abstract The investigation that supports the present article answers to the need for achieving an understanding of the Infinitesimal Calculus teaching-learning process that contributes to overcome insufficiencies in content systematization. The critical and constructive reflection of concepts, principles and mechanisms characterizing the Infinitesimal Calculus teaching-learning process is promoted and developed from a perspective that leads to the improvement of the above mentioned process in higher education.
