Braided stent and method for its preparation

The invention relates to a stent made of a plurality of interwoven filaments (2, 3) which cross each other, said parallel filaments (2, 3) each maintain a predetermined distance. At least one end of the stent filaments (2, 3) in pairs with collars (4), having the shape of a figure eight, wherein in opposite direction filaments (2, 3) into the sleeves (4) are brought together, the filament in the same direction substantially run and at the edge of the cuff end (5). The invention further relates to a method for producing such a stent.
