A Study on Frequency Response Analysis of Micro-speaker Using Equivalent Circuit and Finite Element Method

With the spread of small acoustic devices, the demand of micro-speakers is increasing. In the conventional analysis, since the acoustic devices are too small, it was not possible to obtain an appropriate frequency response, and we have to resort to a skilled engineer for the design. Therefore, we propose an analysis method that uses the equivalent circuit and the finite element method. The equivalent circuit is used to represent the phenomenon of diaphragm vibration due to an electric current in the voice coil, and the vibration velocity is input in the finite element method to analyze the frequency response considering the enclosure structure.
