Neutral hydrogen in the Arecibo Galaxy environment survey volume behind NGC 7332

The Arecibo L-band Feed Array has been used to map a 5 square degree region out to a velocity of 18,000 km/s, covering a volume (for H(0)=70 km/s/Mpc) of ~8900 cubic Mpc. In the region behind the NGC 7332 group, we find 40 HI sources, of which 15 are previously catalogued and 5 have previous redshift measurements. 25 sources (62.5%) are new detections, we are currently trying to identify optical counterparts for these sources. The HI sources have a median redshift of 12,000 km/s (~170 Mpc) and range in neutral hydrogen content from 8x10(8) to 3x10(10) solar masses.
