Silver-Containing Nanodispersions Based on the Water-Soluble Copolymer of N-Vinylpyrrolidone with Sodium N-Crotyl-4-aminosalicylate and Crotyl Alcohol: Synthesis and Spectroscopic, Structural, and Morphological Characteristics
2021
Silver-containing nanocomposites based on N-vinylpyrrolidone–sodium N-crotyl-4-aminosalicylate–crotyl alcohol triple copolymer with the silver concentration varied in a wide range were synthesized. The influence of the silver content on the spectroscopic, structural, and morphological characteristics of silver-containing nanodispersions was demonstrated by UV/visible spectroscopy and by atomic force and transmission electron microscopy. The nanodispersions studied exhibit antibacterial activity toward S. aureus Gram-positive and E. coli Gram-negative bacteria, suppressing their growth at a silver concentration of 0.01 wt %.
