Status Rankings of Teachers.
1971
This study investigated the status hierarchy of 12 teaching positions within a school system. A rank order was determined for each position and a 25 × 25 product-moment correlation matrix was constructed. It appears that a status hierarchy does exist. Interesting differences were noted among the variables investigated: sex, age, teaching experience, level of academic degree, and current position.
