Nonhuman primate diseases of the stomach, intestine, liver, and pancreas are described in this chapter. The diseases described have a variety of different etiologies, including viral, bacterial, parasitic, metabolic, immune/allergic, hyperplastic, neoplastic, congenital, and mechanical. Clinical signs, diagnosis, treatment, prevention, gross and microscopic lesions, and zoonotic significance are also discussed. This chapter also presents a general approach to diagnosis and treatment of diseases in the digestive system.
